RESERVATIONS
Reservations are made by contacting the LCT&CC Coordinator, (440-329-5760) who will help to address the needs of the User and handle details for the best set-up. Or you can visit our website at /922/commissioners-departments/transportation-center/reserve-a-room for on-line reservations.
FACILITY CATERING SERVICES & AMENITIES
The facility has a fully functioning warming kitchen with full catering services provided exclusively by LCCC Dining Services. For smaller, less formal events, clients may choose the House Menu. No outside caterers or food is permitted with the exception of a cake.
The cost for catering services is based on the menu items selected. The User must enter into a contract with LCCC (or for small events select from our House Menu). At the User’s request, Lorain County will arrange for bartending service for an additional fee. For more information, please see Alcoholic Beverages/Bartender Service

ROOM INFORMATION – FOR LARGER EVENTS
The 20th Century Room - Room #104
The 20th Century Room has state-of-the-art technology available including video conferencing, teleconferencing, videotaping, and an audio system. The number of people this large room can accommodate depends upon set-up, which can be either banquet or theater seating.
This room features a two-story room that is 80’ x 70’ with wainscoting, decorative sconces and an ornamental plastered ceiling.
The room can be used for formal dining, business meetings, luncheons, displays, receptions and social gatherings. A large 10.6’ x 14’ video screen with projector and two 65” plasma display monitors are available for large conferences and seminars.
The Limited Room - Room #103 (Rotunda Space)
The Limited Room offers an intimate space for gatherings and seats up to 60 guests for dining. This elegant room features the spectacular two-story rotunda with decorative wall sconces, chandelier and a separate beverage serving and coat check area. This room is perfect for smaller gatherings and has two 65” plasma display monitors.
The 20th Century Room & The Limited Room – Room #103 & 104
The largest room offered is created by combining Rooms 103 & 104. The number of people accommodated would depend upon the event set-up. These two rooms provide a breathtaking display of architecture from the 1920’s and guests will enjoy the added nostalgia of dancing and dining in this 85+ year old historic building.

ROOM INFORMATION – FOR SMALLER EVENTS
The Center also features rooms that are great for meetings of 25 people or less. These rooms can be used separately or together to accommodate board meetings, committee meetings, hearings, breakout sessions, focus and/or discussion groups. Each room has access to video conferencing and WiFi (upon request).
The Lakeshore Limited Room – Room #128 (Mezzanine)
The Lakeshore Limited Room accommodates up to 25 people. The flexible furniture system allows for a variety of table arrangements to accommodate the User’s needs. This room also features windows along the south wall that provide an abundance of natural light.
The Capitol Limited Room – Room #206 (2nd Floor)
The Capitol Limited Room accommodates up to 25 people. This room also has a flexible furniture feature that allows for a variety of table and chair arrangements to best suit the User’s needs. The adjacent lobby can conveniently be used as a beverage and food serving area or a coffee station. The room has a view of the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks and an abundance of natural light.
The Empire Room – Room #204 (2nd Floor)
The Empire Room is furnished with lounge seating for up to 15 people and high top tables to encourage casual discussion. It is a unique space that features windows on the south side and a
café-type atmosphere. The room works well with The Capitol Limited Room and can be used for breakout sessions or focus groups.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES FOR FACILITY USE
It is the intent of Lorain County to serve the community by providing access to the unique meeting rooms in the Lorain County Transportation & Community Center (LCT&CC).
The LCT&CC is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted in any County building. No person or organization shall be excluded from rental or use because of age, sex, race, color, creed, disability or national origin. Youth or children’s groups shall be supervised at all times by responsible adults provided by the User.
Decorating
No confetti, glitter, wax candles and helium balloons are to be inside the facility. Nails, staples, tacks or adhesive tapes are not to be applied to walls, molding or tables. If the User chooses to decorate, plans would need to be discussed with the LCT&CC Coordinator. Users who do not follow these guidelines would be subject to special cleaning fee charges and/or forfeit their security deposit refund.
Set-up/Take-Down & Clean-up
This service is provided by the Center’s staff. The facility offers 60” round tables that seat up to 8 guests; 8’ rectangular tables are available to use for a head table, food, speakers, gifts, etc. All personal/professional items and decorations must be removed from the facility upon departure.
Facility Fee
The Facility Fee includes administrative fees, Facility Host/Hostess service, table & chair set-up/take-down and clean-up (as mentioned above).
Loss and/or Damage
Individuals and groups using the building and grounds shall be required to assume responsibility for loss or damage of equipment, damage to building and grounds, and shall be held responsible for financial losses sustained by the County.
The User will hold the County harmless at all times from any claims or damage on account of injury to anyone using the LCT&CC and grounds in connection with the function sponsored or operated by the applicant and/or growing out of their use and occupancy of the facilities and grounds, or through any defect in said premises, including the sidewalks adjoining the same and use of operation thereof.
Any personal property in the LCT&CC or on County grounds shall be kept at the risk of the person bringing it thereon. The County shall not be liable for any damage to said personal property or the User or anyone using the facility and grounds in connection with the function sponsored or operated by the User arising from the accident or neglect of any other person whatsoever.
Facility Hours
Facility rooms are available Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. unless other arrangements have been made with the LCT&CC Coordinator. All music and entertainment would end at least a half hour before the agreed upon end time. Deliveries and decorating arrangements can be coordinated so it will not conflict with other activities. The User may not have access to the facility after 4:30 p.m., during weekdays or any time on weekends, without paying an additional fee. Failure to comply with the facility hours would result in additional charges. An additional fee ($50.00) would be charged for events held past 10:00 p.m. If an event is held past 10:00 p.m., without the User requesting it prior to the event, a $100.00/hour premium rate would be deducted from the security deposit.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Security Deposit
A security deposit is due at the time of booking an event - $500 for Rooms 103 & 104; $100 for Rooms 128, 204 and 206. The deposit is required to secure the User’s date. If the User defaults in the performance of any obligation under the agreement/invoice or violates the policies and procedures, the County may, but shall not be obligated, to apply all or portions of the Security Deposit on account to the User’s obligations. If the security deposit isn’t enough to cover the damage the User is responsible for the difference. Any balance of the deposit remaining upon termination of the agreement and full performance of the User’s obligations shall be returned to the User, without interest.
Payments
The remaining balance and a signed agreement/invoice are due no later than 10 days prior to the day of the event. A personal check, business check or money order should be made payable to the Lorain County Treasurer. A $100 service fee will be charged for all checks returned due to insufficient funds.
Food Service
There are two (2) options available for food service. For smaller, less formal events, clients may choose items from the House Menu. The final count and selections would be due two weeks before the event; and, the cost would be invoiced to the User by Lorain County. The full payment shall be received no later than 10 days prior to the event. For full-service catering, Clients shall enter into an agreement with LCCC and payment will be made directly to LCCC.
Alcoholic Beverages/Bartender Service
The User is responsible to comply with all rules, laws and regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. There are several options available for Bartender Service. If the User brings in their own alcohol, the Transportation Center Coordinator will provide a bartender. The User would make a direct payment (cash only) to the bartender the day of the event. If the User chooses LCCC as their caterer, they can have LCCC take care of all bar details. The bartender will set up, serve and clean the beverage serving area. The User is responsible for providing all products and later removing the products and trash from the Center at the end of the event.
Security Officer
A Security Officer may be required for events that are held in the evening, on weekends, and/or have alcoholic beverages served. The Security Officer ($30.00/hour) would be provided by off-duty Sheriff’s Deputies, and arranged by the Transportation Center Coordinator. The User would be responsible for paying, cash only, to the Security Officer the day of the event.
Cancellation
In the event of a cancellation, the Security Deposit is non-refundable. The exception would be if we were able to rebook the same date.
Parking
Parking is provided for rental participants and patrons to the extent that facilities are available. Parking lots are not available for purposes other than their intended use. There are 82 complimentary parking spaces next to the facility. The parking lot located south of the Center off Depot Street, adjacent to the Center, offers an additional 118 free parking spaces. Security cameras are located throughout the parking lot area.
Liability
Lorain County is not responsible for damage and/or loss of any merchandise, equipment, clothing or other valuables remaining after an event has ended. Clients assume all responsibility for any violations of City, State and Federal Laws.
